Official websites

Where to find them

Schönbrunn is not one institution but several. Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsgesellschaft runs the palace and the gardens at schoenbrunn.at. The Tiergarten Schönbrunn (zoovienna.at) is run separately as a private not-for-profit. The Desert House and the Palm House have their own pages within the palace site. The Schönbrunn Palace Concerts at the Orangerie are operated by an external concert agency.

What the official sites offer

Detailed room-by-room descriptions of every state apartment, scholarly essays on the Habsburg family, the full restoration history of the palace, the zoo's research programme, and educational resources for schools. Schönbrunn Pass annual tickets, group bookings of 10+ visitors, and corporate events in the Orangerie. Press, image-licensing and academic-research enquiries.

How this site differs

This site exists to make booking faster, with a clearer mobile experience, in more languages and with flexible cancellation up to 24 hours before your slot. Tickets here include the same palace admission as those bought direct on schoenbrunn.at. For institutional questions, research access or annual membership, use the official sites.

Phone enquiries to Schönbrunn: +43 1 811 13-0, Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00.

Official Website FAQ

Tickets, contact, and what is each official site

Is this the palace's official site?
No. The official sites are schoenbrunn.at (palace and gardens), zoovienna.at (Tiergarten zoo) and imagevienna.com (Orangerie concerts). We are an authorised reseller offering tickets in multiple languages with flexible cancellation up to 24 hours before your slot.
Are the tickets the same?
Yes — both include the same palace admission and the same timed-entry slot, plus the same multilingual audio guide. The booking experience, supported languages and refund terms differ.
How do I contact the palace directly?
Through the contact form on schoenbrunn.at, by email to [email protected], or by phone at +43 1 811 13-0, Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00 Vienna time.
Where can I see the full collection online?
The schoenbrunn.at site offers room-by-room descriptions and high-resolution images of every state apartment; the Bundesmobilienverwaltung (federal furniture collection) also maintains an online archive at hofmobiliendepot.at with zoomable detail of the Habsburg furniture in the palace.
How do I become a member?
The Schönbrunn Pass annual ticket — €69 for adults — gives unlimited entry to the palace, the Gloriette terrace, the Maze, the Privy Garden and the Carriage Museum for one year. Available only via schoenbrunn.at. The Tiergarten zoo has a separate annual pass at zoovienna.at.
Can I get press accreditation here?
No — press requests must go through the press office of Schönbrunn at schoenbrunn.at, or zoovienna.at for the zoo.
Where can I license images of the palace?
Image licensing is handled by the Schönbrunn rights department directly via schoenbrunn.at. The strict no-photography rule inside the state rooms means very few non-official images are available — licensed photography from the palace archive is the standard route for publishers.
